Theatre design phase begins

Now the research of our model theatre is complete we move onto the computer design phase. For this task we'll be using methods commonly used in architectural design.

However, we won’t be using expensive C.A.D. software such as AutoCadDefinition of AutoCad. No, we’ll be employing features found in everyday graphics packages such as Adobe IllustratorDefinition of Illustrator and PhotoshopDefinition of Photoshop.

We'll determine how dimensions, guides and layers can be made use of to create spectacular technical drawings, in various elevations.

We’ll delve into side, top and front views and discover what they mean for our model theatre’s construction.

We'll find out how our drawings can be printed onto card or paper, in full size, and eventually used as templates for cutting wood, plastic and metal.
